I ran into a situation while working on a beat in my MPC One. Every section—samples, drum kit, and instruments—was in one sequence. I needed to export stems from my MPC for mixing in Ableton. So how do I track these out efficiently?
There was the option of muting or soloing tracks and exporting them individually, but I wanted a faster way. Since each section had its own track, I decided to bounce them out as samples. This way, they’d become part of my MPC sample pool, making it easy to manage and transfer.
When I save my project, the MPC One automatically adds these bounced files into the project folder. (I learned this from YouTube, but the files only appeared after I saved the project.) This method allows me to remove my SD card (highly recommended), plug it into my computer, and load those MPC stems into Ableton or any other DAW.
Now, if I want to do additional mixing or send the stems to a friend, I can do so without any hassle.
Steps to Export Stems from MPC One
1. Bounce to Sample your desired tracks (or sequences).
2. Save the project! If you don’t, the bounced files won’t be added to the project folder.
3. Once the files are saved inside the folder, you can export MPC stems to Ableton or any DAW for further mixing.
This method keeps my MPC workflow smooth and efficient, allowing me to track out beats without manually exporting each stem one by one.
